Weekend Sample Sales & Deals

This weekend brings delightful discounts at the Sigerson Morrison Warehouse Sale, eDress Me deals on frocks, and of course, Zac Posen for Target. Deals also abound on the horizon on Acne, Nudie Jeans and Filippa K.

ZAC POSEN FOR TARGET

After weeks (months?) of waiting, Zac Posen's lower-price line of dresses, tees, and one spectacular gown will finally hit Target stores on Sunday, April 25. For those who didn't snatch anything at the 24-hour pop-up, we're betting the quickest items to sell out will be the tiger-print cocktail dress, the tie-dye print dress, and of course, the floor-length gown, so we'd advise snapping those up first. View the complete lookbook to make your selections in advance.

EDRESSME PROM EXTRAVAGANZA ONE-DAY SALE

The Internet's trove of dresses is hosting a one-day prom sale in its NYC showroom this Saturday.  Shoppers seeking formalwear can find discounts up to 50-75% from prom favorites Betsey Johnson and Jessica McClintock and several others.  You've only got one day, so be efficient and swing by the showroom at 325 W. 38th St., Saturday, April 24: 10-6.

THE FIX BY ALTER

Kicking off tonight (full deets below), the Fix sets the Lower East Side's renowned vintage clothing selection to music by DJ Lady Starlight, proprietress of the online store CONSUME, who'll serve as co-host with the Alter Boys of Brooklyn boutique Alter. Together they plan to transform a 2,000-square-foot space on Orchard into a retro retail extravaganza, with an extensive selection of handpicked rockstar vintage goodies and in-store stylists on-hand.  Best part is, nothing will be priced higher than $100: Clothing ranges from $25-$75, and accessories are $15-$45.  To get your fix, head to 186 Orchard (between Houston and Stanton), Noon-9PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 23-25, 2010.  Opening party will be held Friday, April 23 6PM-9PM.

The Earth Day centered pop-up at Grand Central runs through the weekend and offers more than 18 fashion and accessories designers, including Samantha Pleet, House of Organic, Bahar Shahpar, STUDY by Tara St James, Redhanded Bags, Dex New York Cosmetics, and more. The good news is that the store will live on in a newly redesigned e-commerce site, plumstyle.com, launching soon.  Plum is located at 124 Ludlow Street.
