A layered look from Phillip Lim's Fall 2011 runway show.
Sample sale fanatics have a triple-threat on their hands starting tomorrow, as three insider-favored labels are kicking off seasonal sales.
The 3.1 Phillip Lim sample sale has practically become an event on the industry calendar, with editors lining up for the designer's colorful separates and boxy coats. This season's sale will include both womenswear and menswear, in addition to shoes, accessories, and a few true samples. (Thursday, 12 p.m.-7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at 260 West 39th Street)
The Rag & Bone sale, on the other hand, is often just as packed with editors and stylists, though offering duds with a more downtown vibe. Sweaters, accessories, and jackets will likely prove popular items. (Thursday - Friday, 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Chelsea Market, 75 5th Avenue)
Starting Thursday, designer Maria Cornejo is marking down pre-fall and fall pieces from her Zero + Maria Cornejo line by up to 40 percent, including her signature drapey dresses and trim jackets. (Thursday through January 15th at the Zero + Maria Cornejo store at 33 Bleecker Street)
