"I'm not really trying to report what I'm seeing. I'm trying to capture it in the romantic way that I see it. So, who the person is really isn't that important to me. What they're wearing is not really that important, which is, really different from what street style photography has been in the past. It was always very much a report of what people were wearing. For me, that's much less important. It's the idea. The idea of a vintage top with a menswear bottom and a pair of converse. The concept, the abstract idea is much more important than trying to report what people were wearing."
