Skater Johnny Weir on Lagerfeld, Joining the Circus, and the Importance of Vaseline

While his first job may be "figure skater," the colorful Johnny Weir has become something of a cult fashion figure for his flashy dressing -- he recently showed off a closet packed with Chanel and Louis Vuitton and even was the target of anti-fur protesters for his luxurious skating costume.

Lately, however, Weir has become an author, and The Feast caught up with him in Connecticut, where he discussed the important of Vaseline, Karl Lagerfeld, and how he'd want to be a fashion designer if he weren't already a skater -- "so that I could be as crazy as I want." [The Feast Connecticut]
