Rebecca Minkoff: Throwback Femme Fatales, Spot-On Accessories,

This week, accessories and apparel designer Rebecca Minkoff made good on what she described as "traces of seductress Bianca Jagger and the late, soulful Janis Joplin" for spring 2011.

Her Lincoln Studio Box presentation was an exercise in throwback, staple-statement basics that boutiques and stylish everywomen reliably stock up on.

There were slim, double-breasted blazers and slinky white tanks. There were center-seemed, rouched skirts and pearlized brown leather motorcylce jackets paired with stoplight red shorts and quilted bags. And there were enough gypsy dress-and-boot pairings to warrant adding Minkoff to the roster of designers perpetuating longer hemlines for this fall and next spring.

Given Minkoff's design credentials, the accessories—a mix of her own handbags, forthcoming spring shoe line, and Made Her Think Jewelry—were easy on the eyes, too.
