Raf Simons announced that he'd severed all ties with his Italian manufacturer, Futurenet Group, just before his fall 2011 men's collection went down the runway in Paris on Saturday.
So, while the collection has been created, next steps regarding their production are pending, with a brief note to retail clients indicating they'd be updated as to sales dates "as soon as possible," WWD reports.
In a praise-laden background post on the designer -- who also designs womenswear for Jil Sander -- The New York Times' Cathy Horyn pointed out that Simons' dilemma of whether or not he'll be able to actually sell his fall collection is actually one faced by smaller, independent designers quite frequently.
