Tonight marks Anna Wintour's much-buzzed-about lecture at Pratt Institute. Unfortunately, it's doubtful anyone other than Pratt students will be able to get in, since even the press has been uninvited. In a move that reminded us a bit too much of the Pete Wentz after-party blitz during Fashion Week, we (along with even the editors at WWD, it seems) were booted from the guest list at the lecture tonight, due to the "extraordinary response" for seats to the free talk.
Citing overwhelming response from the student body and Pratt community, the event reps informed us they were at capacity -- alas unable to include anyone outside of the Pratt community, it seems. An e-mail sent Friday informed members of the press that the event was "no longer able to accommodate any press seating." (Note to folks at Pratt: This is a spectacular opportunity to see a legend in the flesh, so be thankful your institution's got such pull.)
