After shuttering ready-to-wear operations in 2006, Paco Rabanne has likely become best-known for the brand's cologne over its ready-to-wear. Now Paco Rabanne is once again focusing on fashion, with Indian designer Manish Arora debuting his first collection as creative director in spring 2012.

Accessories will also be amped up with a series of collaborations that kicks off with jewelry and new versions of Paco Rabanne's 1969 Chain Mail Bag (with toilet chain handle) by British designer Judy Blame, WWD reports. They bags will drop at Barneys here in New York, priced around $1,035-$2,280.

Arora for Rabanne is a marriage of boundary-busting peculiar high fashion, with the former experimenting with carnival themes and industrial materials in much the same spirit that the house (which was founded in1966) did with a collection called 12 Experimental and Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials. Theirs is a circle of overlapping inspiration that includes M.I.A., Salvatore Dali (he was a friend and mentor to Rabanne), from Paris to Delhi.

The revival also seems to dovetail nicely with the return of another cult brand, Mugler, with Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti at the helm.
