    Leila Shams

Fashion wallflowers might turn up their noses at Leila Shams' skin-tight and oh-so short designs, but as her website proudly declares, her collections are designed "for the life of the party -- a woman who loves to be noticed."

There's no doubt that any of the pieces from Shams' latest collection, "Super Freak," would turn a few heads, but make no mistake: This isn't your average club wear designer. She may have honed her skills at party-girl brands like Express and Bebe before founding her own label, but Shams' inherent sense of pattern and texture set her personal work apart, and give her finished collections a luxurious, high-fashion feel.

For "Super Freak," Shams played with everything from digital prints (one silky tunic features a blown-up owl face) to luxury beading and embellishment techniques. The result is a collection equal parts "Side Show" and couture, with pieces just as appropriate for an evening at Cirque du Soleil as a wild night on the town.
