Ever since "Black Swan," for which the Mulleavy sisters conjured up frothy tulle confections to outfit leading lady Natalie Portman, fashion has been entangled in a love affair with the ballet.

Now, Nanette Lepore is joining the ranks of designers-turned-costumers for a performance of "Picnic"— which premiered Wednesday at the Joyce Theatre—which takes inspiration from the 1975 film, "Picnic at Hanging Rock."

The costumes—which will worn by leading dancers Charles Askegard and Georgina Pazcoguin—feature color-blocked panels of candy pink and lime green set against and black and blue lining.

While images aren't available yet, our bet is that Lepore's ballerina looks will exude the same giddy feminity and elaborate design flourishes as her main collection.
