Miss Piggy as Muse for Six Rising Fashion Designers

Make no mistake: Miss Piggy is the chic-est swine in New York City. With a memorable appearance at Opening Ceremony's Fashion's Night Out, a new line of cosmetics from MAC, and a stint as a judge on Project Runway, this stylish pig is staging a major comeback after a decade away from the silver screen.

The hubbub, of course, is timed to promote the latest "Muppet" movie, in which the blonde starlet plays a powerful Vogue editor.

But the latest case of Piggy-fever may be the best yet; for the November issue of InStyle, Miss Piggy was decked out in custom creations from six major fashion talents: Prabal Gurung, Suno, Giles & Brother, Jason Wu, Brian Atwood and Opening Ceremony.

Amazingly, each brand is instantly recognizable even from their miniature, piggy-sized creations. Jason Wu, for example, finished a floaty, black feather dress with one of his distinctive lace masks. "Her humor, flamboyance and joie de vivre inspired me to design a decadent feathered dress that features her most sensational qualities," Wu told WWD.

Atwood, on the other hand, carefully considered Piggy's unusual physicality, telling WWD that "the strappy sandal seemed to work best to complement her hoofs."
