Market Watch: Nina Z. Swedish Clogs

It's no big style secret that clogs have been one of this season's major "It" shoes, but for Swedish native Nina Ziefvert, the iconic style never went out of fashion.

Having grown up in Sweden, where the clunky footwear was part of the habitual dress code, Ziefvert sought to bring the classic clog back into NYC closets when she founded her namesake label, Nina Z, two years ago.

Ranging from a classic, slip-on style in polished leather to a buckled woven nubuck sandal, and even a pull-on boot, every pair is individually crafted by fifth-generation Swedish shoemakers. And for the record, Nina was selling these pups at the Brooklyn Flea last summer before they became all the rage—which makes it even cooler that she's kept her prices so friendly, despite the insane demand.

We especially love the latest color addition to her "Lena" sandal: a dusty grey ($135) that makes for an easy transition into fall—try pairing them with bright-colored opaque tights. And Ziefvert's newest style, an rugged ankle boot with serious downtown appeal ($135), actually makes us giddy for the air to turn brisk. Clearly clogs aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
