Marchesa will expand its three-year-old bridal business to launch an exclusive collection, Eterna by Marchesa, with Priscilla of Boston.
The label known for translating fantastical, high-fashion gowns of the red carpet to the aisle is entering into a marriage of its own wtih the grand-dame purveyor of high-end wedding wear. In so doing, Marchesa is joining the bevy of designers and retailers including Vera Wang, Melissa Sweet, and even Urban that are looking to take a bigger piece out of the bridal market.
Though dates and price points have yet to be set, it's likely that Marchesa would look to create a line that taps into a slightly more affordable market, in addition to taking advantage of Priscilla of Boston's distribution chain.
