After presenting a spring collection inspired by choreographer Bob Fosse and the dance hall, Marc Jacobs essentially confirmed the rumors he's in negotiations with Dior, in an interview with WWD.
When asked about the speculation over his move, the designer explained that the prolonged discussion “has nothing to do with salary. I mean, I’d be honored to do Dior. But I work with a team, and I’d like to be able to keep working with them. I think it would be really exciting. I wouldn’t be able to say no.”
So, it sounds like a confirmation is imminent, and given the fall of John Galliano, Dior’s former head, during Paris Fashion Week last season, we imagine timing the announcement in the coming weeks will bring the entire story full-circle.
