Lily Alllen dropped the bombshell late last year that she'd be quitting music to start a new career in fashion, and the first step in that plan kicks off in August with vintage shop Lucy in Disguise.
She told Vogue's Style File that she's opening the vintage shop with her sister Sarah Owen, and is planning to debut her curated boutique in August at the Goodwood Festival -- an event being called "Glastonbury without the Mud" that will feature a series of vintage stalls and shops. Lucy in Disguise's outdoor market beginnings are just the start -- the shop will take up a permanent brick-and-mortar spot in London after that.
Given Allen's recent high-profile forays into fashion (as, say, the face of certain Chanel advertisements), insiders are much-interested to see if the pop star will make a jump into the "celebrities who sew" category, joining gals like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Kardashian.
