Levi's and Pendleton Collaborate on a Seven-Piece Collection

It seemed like only a matter of time before the classic denim giant Levi's and iconic wool purveryor Pendleton would eventually turn to each other for a collaboration.

In recent years, both all-American brands have partnered up with a slew of other labels, including Nike, Vans, Hurley, Opening Ceremony, Timberland and Comme des Garçon for Pendleton, and Filson, Opening Ceremony, Billy Reid and Brooks Brothers for Levi's. Given their similar characteristics as two northwestern-based heritage brands, both founded in the late-1800s, the combined result is bound to be a double-doozy of classic-ruggedness.

The collection, scheduled to debut early next month in Levi's stores and select Pendleton stores, as well as on Levis.com and Pendleton's e-commerce site, will comprise seven pieces—two jackets and a shirt for men, two jackets and a cape for women, as well as a blanket—all lined with a Native American-inspired jacquard print designed exclusively for the lineup, WWD reports. Prices will range from $118 to $198.

While many co-branding projects are often forgettable flashes in the pan, this particular collection, which showcases the best of what each iconic brand has to offer, is one that's bound to be a classic in its own rite.
