The biggest trend in fashion right now is, well, big. Fresh on the heel sof V Magazine's plus-size issue, the tastemakers over at French Elle have devoted their entire April issue to plus-size models -- including a twenty-page (slightly nude) photoshoot with Tara Lynn. Ooh lala!
More literal than V Magazine's plus-size issue with Gabourey Sidibe on the cover, Elle's latest inculdes all the standard shopping guides and style features, but from a 100 percent plus-size perspective. The April issue is the latest vehicle of French Elle's "trailblazing" brand concept: remember last year's spectacular no make-up issue?
We love this magazine's ability to test the fashion industry's limits in a way that seems so effortless and obvious. We do, however, question that belted white onesie on the front cover. For those looking to track down an issue of French Vogue stat (along with a slew of other worthy foreign editions), we'd suggest a trip to Universal News, 977 Eighth Avenue (between 57th and 58th).
