One of our favorite new Brooklyn-based labels, Shin specializes in gorgeously draped basics and unusual knits perfect for the urban-dweller seeking a dose of "cozy" with their tough-looking ensembles. Sure, it feels a little like cheating, but it turns out looking this cool doesn't have to be a big fuss.
We're often on the hunt for luxe basics that we can style with anything and depend upon to boost even the simplest of outfits, like silky Kain t-shirts or plain pocket blouses from Equipment. Of course, Shin's fall/winter offerings may not be so bread-and-butter as t-shirts and jeans, but their easy wrap sweaters, drapey cocoon cardigans and knit sheath dresses are just as versatile, perfect for layering beneath—or on top of—just about everything in your closet.
We have our eye on the shorter chunky-knit cocoon sweater that appears to have a giant scarf draped aruond the neck, and a sharp funnel-neck coat with an asymmetrical zipper. Be sure to check out the ink-splattered separates, in particular a pair of black knit pants that fade to stark white at the top.
