Kate Spade Signs Fragrance Deal with Elizabeth Arden

Kate Spade is the latest Liz Claiborne brand to ink a beauty licensing deal with Elizabeth Arden, with a new perfume hitting stores this fall.

The Kate Spade company had a brief stint with scents with Estee Lauder back in 2002, but since then have changed hands and are re-entering what seems to be a very lucrative arena in the beauty industry.  Liz Claiborne and Elizabeth Arden work on fragrances for Juicy Couture, Usher, Lucky Brand and Claiborne, and Kate Spade's is expected to go to boutiques and department stores nationwide like the rest.

If we had to guess what the Kate Spade gal's scent was made of, we'd have to say some whimsical mixture of peonies, cupcakes and old library books.
