Jewelry Label Dannijo Expands into Shoes for Fall

New York jewelry label Dannijo, helmed by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder, has quickly become a popular label among the young style set -- in particular bloggers like The Man Repeller, who has her own collaboration with the label.

Now, WWD reports that the label is expanding into shoes through a new collaboration with Matt Bernson. The collection -- which really sounds like a test pilot for the brand -- will be comprised of five styles and will sell on mattberson.com and shopbop.com, in addition to the label's own site, dannijo.com.

While the collaboration itself is interesting, WWD's report on the brand's financials is especially staggering: The label is reportedly tracking to book $5 million in retail sales this year, and is expecting a 600 percent increase in e-commerce sales for 2012, compared with the previous year. Those are pretty impressive numbers for a local jewelry label, which bodes well for their first foray into footwear, expected to become available online in August.
