Adding to the slew of fashion lines for children debuting of late, H&M will launch a children's collection this October for UNICEF, donating 25 percent of the sales from the boys' and girls' clothing line as part of its All for Children initiative, WWD reports.

The five-year program, which the Sweden-based fast-fashion chain launched in November 2009, is based on a $4.5 million pledge from H&M, and will be expanded into Bangladesh from southern India this year. According to a company press release: "We believe that children who learn how to read and write are better equipped to make informed choices about their future."

Those who are tempted by the charitable angle will also be relieved to discover that the clothes are quite charming, conveying a certain pint-size European vibe with striped cottons, nubby cashmere cardigans and embellished dresses.
