The new Meatpacking District home for Levi's Premium duds offers a lodge-like standout in the Meatpacking District, just a hop from the regular Levi's store down 14th.
The offshoot concept places emphasis on "shape, not size" and focuses special attention on fabric and detailing.
Perhaps the most unique element to the new space is the working tailor station towards the back of the shop, where, when we stopped in yesterday afternoon, a guy was hard at work on a pair of blues, while a lady sketched by his side behind a counter lined with tall stools. It was completely authentic -- perfectly quaint.
The chalkboard menu of services ranges from basic hemming to special detailing and custom-made jeans.
