First Look: House of Harlow 1960 Footwear for Fall

Nicole Richie has extended her signature LA bohemienne style to a line of boots for fall includes suede heels, equestrian-inspired flat boots, and less than savory furry short boots.

Dare we say, after years of idolizing much of what Richie wears and designs, that we're not totally thrilled with the shoes? Nitro:licious got a first peek at the collection back in March, which will retail between $150-$395 and includes over-the-knee fringed flats, ankle booties flanked by buckles, suede wedge knee-highs with rawhide detailing and mid-length moccasin-boots with toggles (ugh), fur and more leather stitching.

Now, granted, there are some winners: a pair of suede platform booties with a toggle tie at the ankle has a certain YSL-inspired quality, and another pair of lace-covered jazz shoes is incredibly charming. The mukluks, and moccasins, however, seem to stray into early-2000s territory (a dangerous proposition). The overall collection seems comprehensive and wearable for autumn, if not a smidge ho-hum, but then again, this is Richie's second season in footwear.
