Emmanuelle Alt Rumored Front-Runner to Succeed Roitfeld at French Vogue

While a successor to the popular French Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld has yet to be named, it seems the magazine's current fashion director, Emmanuelle Alt, is one of the most favored nominees for the gig.

WWD is reporting that the number of candidates rumored to be in line for the coveted position has shrunk down to a handful, with the talented Virginie Mouzat (fashion editor for Le Figaro) still among those left to consider. However, it seems Alt -- who was once a stylist like Roitfeld -- is "in a pole position" to replace Roitfeld once she steps down. WWD also reports that an official announcement could come as early as next week.
