Emma Watson Debuts Short Hair, Is No Longer the Face of Burberry

At least Emma Watson still has her day job. After a year as the face of Burberry, the 20 year-old "Harry Potter" actress, credited with lending her magic to the brand's recent sales boost, has been sidelined for its forthcoming fall and winter ad campaigns.

According the the NY Post, another young actress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, best known for her role in "Transformers" will be the label's new spokesmodel.

Coincidentally (or perhaps not coincidentally), on the same day that news broke, Watson also posted a picture of herself on her Facebook page sporting a much, much shorter 'do. The new look is certainly more sophisticated than her previous locks (perhaps an attempt to put herself in the more fashion-forward category, next to actresses like Carey Mulligan), but it also seems to make her look younger, at least to us.

Something tells us that Watson can't be too heartbroken over the decision. She probably got a few good trench coats from the deal, and if anything, maybe her liberation from Burberry gave her the freedom to chop off her locks in favor her new pixie-like cut.
