We've spent many a snowy afternoon fantasizing about Daphne Guinness' couture-stocked wardrobe, so news that she will be unveiling an exhibit of her favorite pieces at FIT is thrilling news indeed.
Alas, the exhibit won't open until September of 2011, but at least that gives Ms. Guinness ample time to comb through her staggering collection of McQueen, Balenciaga, Commes des Garcons and Alaia and select what prize selections should go on display.
The collection will be curated by her fabulous self and museum director Valerie Steele, who told WWD that Guinness is "creative and inspirational in the way that someone like Tina Chow was." We can't wait to get a peek at all the bejeweled and ruffled insanity -- in particular all those veils that Daphne's been into lately -- but the show is slated to have a long run, lasting into January of 2012. It may be a long ways out, but mark your calendars boys and girls: We guarantee this one will be a doozy!
