Checking In: Bensoni Designers on How They Keep Busy through the Holidays

It may seem like things are winding down for the holidays, but fashion folks are just entering one of their busiest times of year, prepping their Fall 2012 collections, lookbooks and fashion shows to boot. Here, Benjamin Channing Clyburn and Sonia Voon of NYC label, Bensoni, dish on how they're keeping occupied through the holidays and offer a few juicy hints about their next collection (K-pop, anyone?).

What's keeping you busiest this month?
Sonia: "I've been super busy putting together our Fall/Winter '12 collection, plus lots of snowboarding, attending holiday parties and trying to spend some more quality time with the family."

What are you most excited about for this coming Fashion Week?
Ben: "We're really excited to showcase our new collection this February, but we will be doing something very special and unique which includes videos and -- without giving too much away -- a special guest of honor."

What are you least excited about this Fashion Week?
Ben: "We're definitely not so excited about all the late nights and inevitable last-minute mishaps, which goes hand in hand with prepping and doing last-minute touches for getting this collection ready."

Any hints about what we can look forward to for Fall '12?
Sonia: "For Fall, we have a new found love for everything and anything 'K-pop!' Think fun, color and sass."

How will you spend the holidays this year?
Ben:
"I'll be spending this holiday in Bangkok and then Ko Samui, Thailand with my girlfriend."

What's your favorite thing about the holidays in New York City?
Sonia: "
Definitely my favorite thing about Christmas in New York are the spectacular holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys."
