Chanel Fine Jewelry has commissioned a sword for conductor William Christie, in honor of his acceptance into the Académie des Beaux-Arts - the country's highest cultural distinction.

Perhaps he can pair it with a Chanel suit of armor?  Actually, it sounds as if Christie's Chanel sword is more of a display piece than a tool for use as an actual weapon: the nature-themed sabre sports florals in enamel, wood, shagreen and rock crystal.
