Catherine Malandrino and Mary J. Blige Stage Fashion Show

Catherine Malandrino and Mary J. Blige will show their collaborative ready-to-wear collection at MoMA June 15. For $1,000 a ticket, you're invited, with proceeds going to help fund college for a group of Blige's FFAWN foundation beneficiaries. Elle will be putting on the event, which -- for those who can't afford the pricey tickets -- will be available to watch online the day after it goes down, and will also be highlighted in the magazine's July music issue.

The longtime friends and women's-rights activists first teamed up on a pair of graphic tees, which sold out and raised a bunch of money -- especially, of course, those that they personally signed. Their fundraising efforts center on FFAWN, the Foundation for the Achievement of Women, founded by Blige.

Inspired by their sartorial ability to let women help other women, the two then worked together on a 25-piece collection whose $1K-a-seat unveiling they're hoping will raise enough money to send 30 graduates of the Bronx's Women's Academy of Excellence to college.  Malandrino created pieces based on Blige's musical influences and include a T-shirt wholesaling for $300 and a studded leather jacket for $3,000.
