France's former First Lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, makes a splashy return to fashion as guest editor of Paris Vogue's December 2012 issue, which will hit newsstands December 3.

Weighing in at 290 pages, the issue features two spreads with Bruni-Sarkozy—one shot by Mert and Marcus, the other by Mario Sorrenti—as well as a four-page interview with the stylish ex-model. Bruni-Sarkozy's friends, Farida Khelifa, Emmanuelle Seigner and Marpessa Hennink are also featured.

According to The Cut, Bruni-Sarkozy touts the virtues of traditional family life throughout the issue.

"There are pioneers who opened the breach ... I'm not at all an active feminist," she says. "On the contrary, I'm a bourgeois. I love family life, I love doing the same thing every day."

Bruni-Sarkozy also offers a somewhat tenuous endorsement of gay marraige, explaining that "I've lots of friends—women and men—who are in this situation and I don’t see anything unstable or perverse in homo-parental families."
