Carine Roitfeld to Launch Quarterly Magazine in 2012

Former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld is well on her way to building a brand. Following last week's revelation to Dazed Digital about plans to launch a clothing and cosemetics line, she's now announced plans for a quarterly magazine in September 2012 -- all on the heels of the release of her book, Irreverent, October 18.

The English-language glossy, Roitfeld revealed in an interview with L'Express, already has a name -- though she won't yet tell what it is. According to Styleite, Roitfeld referenced Oprah, but said her name wouldn't necessarily become her brand, but said of the secret title: "I think it suits me. It's very rock-'n-roll." (Perhaps a continuation of her book's "irreverent" theme?)

It's with the help of "a dream team" of friends that Roitfeld is putting together what she calls "a really iconic magazine that’s fresh and exciting” over the next year. Until then, let the brand-building begin.
