On its 40th birthday, Browns of London has tapped 40 designers including Norma Kamali, Christopher Kane, Ashish, Rick Owens, Alexander Wang, Sonia Rykiel, Christian Louboutin and Nicholas Kirkwood to re-create iconic pieces from the store since its inception in 1970. The limited-edition goods will be available to the shopping public via the "Future Collectibles" collection.
The men's and women's goods, which include Wang's Goddess Dress (pictured), a Burberry trench, Rick Owens biker jacket and lots more, will reach the worldwide public on the Web, in addition to the London store and a smattering of shops across Europe through May. For those intrepid Browns fans who can make it to London, the store will also be hosting a photography exhibition of kingpin designers including Gaultier, Alaïa and Marc Jacobs (in a Halston dress, no less) in the new gallery space at London's Regent Penthouses and Lofts.
Even if you don't buy, it's worth simply taking a flip through the special assemblage of memorable opus pieces online.
