The inside line on New York fashion

Bergdorf Goodman's Linda Fargo: "I'm a Lifelong Devotee of Leopard, Dries and Strong Red Lipstick."

We've been huge fans of Bergdorf Goodman's Linda Fargo for a while now—not just for her awesomely shrewd and honest takedown of Whitney Port's budding fashion line during a brief scene on reality tv's "The City," but also for her trademark silvery locks and lively sense of style.

And, as it becomes more commonplace for once-behind-the-scenes figures in the fashion industry—buyers, editors, stylists—to be cast into the spotlight these days, we were thrilled to see the senior vice president for Bergdorf Goodman's fashion department featured for her personal style in this week's Time Out NY.

Likening the act to making a "Sophie's Choice," the diplomatic dresser says that she could never name a favorite fashion designer, however she's open about her propensity for menswear-style white shirts, leopard prints, unexpected pops of color, and bags bearing her name, especially the one created for her by designer Nancy Gonzales (a Bergdorf exclusive, of course).

Personally, we think her signature accessory is her gleaming silvery do, which started turning that color at the age of 10, she says (Tavi, eat your heart out).
