The latest edition of the Kardashians' collection for Bebe -- a 15 piece resort collection -- is hitting stores soon, but in a recent interivew, Bebe president Emilia Fabricant implied that the brand's collaborations with the three sisters Kardashian might be on the wane. As she told WWD:
“The sisters do still have relevance,” said Fabricant, “but at Bebe we need to move with fashion and we want to be first in the fashion world with everybody else and not fall behind. We are definitely assessing the situation.”
Needless to say, the comment certainly seemed to serve as an "oh snap"-esque implication that the Kardashian's "trend" value is dropping as their saturation within the fashion market rises (the sisters now boastseveral corporate sponsorships and a new boutique in Soho). The partnership with Bebe would be celebrating its first anniversary in February, as the collaboration was first unveiled at New York Fashion Week in early 2010.
