Coach to Open Men's Shop on Bleecker

Seems like men are the new black when it comes to fashion: Coach is just the latest designer to cater to the boys, with plans to open their first stand-alone men's boutique on Bleecker Street in May

The new shop will be located at 370 Bleecker, next to the brand's Legacy boutique, and will feature a men's collection dominated by bags and including travel accessories, small leather goods and shoes inspired by heritage and classic lines.  The space marks the first exclusively male venue for Coach goods, after several years of fine-tuning of product among designated areas within women's shops.

The peeps at Coach hinted at an aspirational price point in line with their new retail neighbors like Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren.  With the new West Village store the designers also predict the genesis of a specific, sophisticated aesthetic to be adopted by Coach men's.  The newest arm of the brand comes after the 2007 debut of the spunky, lower-priced Poppy line.

The West Village shop will mark its opening with a set of exclusive graffitti-printed totes, and the intimate space will experiment with limited-edition collections and seasonal items as it gets off the ground.
