High-end British shoe company Ruia will move into what amounts to a virtual shoebox at 650 square feet at 65 Mercer Street this fall, replacing Marianne Novobatsky's clothing boutique.
Doors to the luxe footwear shop (pairs start around $400) are expected to open just in time for fall. Clearly, someone's putting a lot of stock in the economic turnaround.
