Models and musicians go together like cookies and milk. And given how frequenty celebrity chefs are being compared to rock stars these days, perhaps it won't be such a random stretch to see the likes of Bill Telepan, Emeril Lagasse and Cat Cora installed at Bon Appétit's pop-up cafe come Fashion Week.
Today, Bon Appétit announced that from September 12-16, the magazine will host a pop-up cafe inside Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Breakfast offerings will include coffee and pastries from city hotspots like Momofuku Milk Bar, Le Bernardin, and Baked NYC, while lunch will feature a rotating roster of mostly grab-and-go dishes created by Laurent Tourondel of BLT market, Marc Murphy of Landmarc, Missy Robbins of A Voce, and other notable NYC chefs. At night the focus shfts to wine—clearly Bon Appétit knows the fashion crowd well—and small plates.
We'll be thrilled to have such sweet food options under the same roof as the shows, but we should note—and we'll say it with our mouths full—that between Fashion's Night Out, an event spearheaded by Vogue (by way of Anna Wintour), and the cafe, Condé Nast is really staking a sizable claim on Fashion Week.
