After much anticipation and a few, evidently false Fashion Week rumors about the line, Project Runway winner and designer Christian Siriano has debuted his line for Payless.
The collection comprises a uber-trendy open-toe zip-up patent boot, thick-strap ankle sandals, teal satin ankle boot with a rounded toe and a hidden platform black patent-gold lame pump -- all with 4" cone heels. The ankle boot is listed in two colors, the teal satin shown on the site and a lizard patent that must be unavailable. Hmph. Also, two slightly pointed-toe ballet flats with a groovy zipper detail at the toe come in black and white floral satin and gold lame. The line also includes three basic black handbags in shiny patent with gold zippers and chains, as well as a large satchel in the same floral satin as the flats.
The tents had been buzzing after Siriano's runway show featured models in terrifying, alien-like platforms, that they were plucked right from the Payless collection. Common sense contested that notion, and thankfully, it appears to have been a myth.
