Kate Middleton, longtime girlfriend of Prince William, will head to New York City come January to take some serious first steps toward a career in photography.
Until now, 27-year-old Middleton has been working for her parents' website, which sells children's party clothes, and making a name for herself as a stylish young thing in London. But apparently, her major hobby has long been photography, and now she's eager to try and turn that into a full-time profession. A friend suggests to the Daily Mail, however, that Middleton may have other reasons for taking up photography: Getting engaged. "‘It wouldn’t be fitting for a future Queen to run a party website," says the source.
Middleton will be in New York for two weeks this January studying under Count Nikolai von Bismarck (who's worked with Mario Testino and Annie Liebovitz, among others). Might Prince William follow her? We'll have to wait and see, but expect a lot of flashbulbs during her stint ...
