Open Today: Mackage Pop-Up in MePa

Canadian-based coatmaker Mackage kicks off its month-long pop-up today, debuting its signature blend of sexy tailoring with geniuine warmth (think puffer coats that really look like motorcycle jackets) on Washington Street in the Meatpacking District.

We took a peek on our lunch break and were genuinely impressed by the sheer variety of coats, jackets, and puffers on display: Fur trim was abundant, as was waist-cinching shapes and the kind of dramatic collars that have attracted followers from Jessica Biel to Philip Bloch, who apparently lives a few blocks from the new pop-up shop.

Speaking of Bloch, turns out he'll be in attendance at Mackage's big Fashion's Night Out Bash -- he'll be on hand from 7-9PM to dole out fashion styling tips and helping folks pick out the perfect fall/winter staple. Also on hand -- model Irina Lazareanu, who'll DJ the "late-night" section of the party from 9-11PM.
