One to Watch: Suzanne Rae

Brooklyn-based designer Suzanne Rae unveiled a Spring 2010 collection of swirling gowns and smart pants straight out of a dream sequence, but rooted in real (well, some fabulous women's version of real) life.

After graduating from Parsons, Rae went on to hone her hand at the houses of Costume National in Milan and Morgane Le Fay in New York, before establishing her own eponymous label.  Fall/Winter 2009 debuted a delight of form and texture both soft and strong, creating wearable looks for a certain set that we're now seeing have become the moment's relevant designs.

And now, The Dossier has revealed the next manifestation of this cohesive aesthetic, lightened up and transformed for spring.  Maintaining that femininity without sacrificing an ounce of definition or strength, we're loving the styles we've seen - filmy mini with a surprising back detail, icy blue cigarette pants, fringed hems and short shorts - hooray!
