When we caught up with fashion's fairy godfather, Tim Gunn, the other day, we got the unlucky task of informing him he'd missed former students' Ohne Titel show. Then, he told Page Six he'd gotten snubbed by Diane von Furstenberg, after attending her shows for every season in the past 12 years. What gives?
Ohne Titel, we can understand- perhaps designers Alexa Adams and Flora Gill felt humbled and underrated their status in the eye of their Parsons professor and didn't send an invite. But Diane von Furstenberg is a celebrity magnet, we can't think of one reason why Gunn wouldn't be placed front row center. But it's not our place to speculate, of course, maybe something(s) got lost in the fashion week shuffle. We can't deny a few wayward keys in the freezer and laundry and mail piling up. But on the other hand, not show invitations. But on the OTHER hand, we're no Tim Gunn, so we sort of have to sing for our seats.
But, but, but - we're so tongue-tied, that's all we can say.
