On September 12, Cathy Horyn of The New York Times will co-host an open discussion with Juergen Teller on his work at the School of Visual Art -- a nice counterpoint to all the rest of the fashion hysteria during fashion week.
Teller is probably most famous for his continued advertising collaborations with Marc Jacobs -- we were particularly infatuated with the Fall 2009 ads depicting a model almost falling out a Manhattan window scrambling for her dropped handbag. His images have a gritty, almost Polaroid-ish quality that's entirely unique, and he also has a new exhibit opening up September 10 at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery.
