In a (we'll say it) brilliant "oh snap" marketing maneuver, Le Tigre has plastered a huge billboard above Manhattan's West Side Highway that reads "Golf Needs a Tiger," just in time for the holiday hordes to hit the roads.
It was just a matter of time before someone started using the scandal to their advantage, and it seems Le Tigre has finally taken the plunge. The billboard also reads, "Lets Get Back On Course," promising that 20 percent of the net profits from all the brand's polos will go to a charity called The First Tee, a youth program that uses the game of golf to "promote character development and life-enhancing values." Well played, Le Tigre. Well played.
