Gen Art “New Garde” Presentation with Plastics, Molly Sims

Back for the first time in three years, the Gen Art "New Garde" fashion presentation will bow on February 10 with Plastics Make it Possible and Molly Sims as emcee. The show will focus on the eco-sustainability of plastics in fashion, showcasing the wares of WesFeld (the winner), Sophomore, Gar-de and Nomia.

Gen Art awarded WesFeld -- a duo of two Project Runway alums -- the crucial $10,000 grant to start their line after a rigorous online community voting process of 160 applicants, in keeping with the organization's focus on "fresh faces" in both fashion and the arts community at large.

In lieu of a traditional runway show, Gen Art will put these fresh faces forward in the form of "live model vignettes," according to WWD, at the Drive-In studios, away from the bustling tents of Bryant Park, but in close distance of downtown locale Milk Studios.
