The supermodel's successful venture, Elle MacPherson Intimates, will add to the mix Obsidian, a high-end line of lingerie to hang alongside La Perla, Myla and Princesse Tam Tam at Bloomingdale's next Spring.
Obsidian will feature a line of bras, panties and chemises spun from luxe silks, tulle and jacquard from across the world, in an effort to provide truly special investment pieces that have become consumer's primary focus during tight economic times. The line will launch with a series of editorial-like black-and-white photography inspired by fashion ads of the 90s, but it was unclear whether MacPherson would play a starring role.
MacPherson gained inspiration for the name while on vacation, discovering the volcanic glass that forms from molten lava, exuding a raw, primordial energy. Hot!
