Donna Karan: Spring 2010

One thing you can always rely on Donna Karan for: She will make you look good. The legendary sportswear designer's spring collection was at once ethereal and sharply modern, rendered in soft grays, whites, and neutrals, with one killer red dress.

The looks were rather split between sharply tailored pieces -- jackets with strong shoulders, impeccably tailored wrap dresses and suiting -- and softer dresses with more of a sense of movement. Some skirts seemed to float on the air just away from the body like a ballerina's skirt, while other dresses hugged the models' curves like a reinvented slip dress. One standout piece was a long red dress with thin straps, falling-off-the-shoulder short silk drapery, and a curve-skimming fit. Just breathtaking.
