A tipster told Gawker this morning and the NYPD has apparently confirmed that a dead body was discovered on the roof of the ultra-cool downtown hipster emporium yesterday. In classic hipster fashion, store employees made the discovery while on a smoke break.
The tipster further asserts that police suspect the body found at 35 Howard Street (Opening Ceremony's Chinatown address) was likely a vagrant who'd fallen from a nearby rooftop. In a serious blow to indie fashion shoppers in the area yesterday, the NYPD closed the store from 12-7PM yesterday, apparently causing the store to cancel a fashion shoot. The horror.
