Perhaps playing godfather to Barbie for the next year is starting to get to shoe maven Christian Louboutin. His Spring 2010 collecetion of towering platforms boasts lacquered candy colors and pink spiked heels.
The pastel hues certainly have a cool resort vibe, and we're loving the Oxford lace-up style, t hough some of the lime-green and acqua sling-backs do feel a touch too '80s flashback for our tastes. We understand the idea of wanting to own a "statement" shoe (and frankly we could probably imagine wearing a pair of these and, well, shorts and a tee ... but realistically, they really do feel like stuff of fantasy.
On the other hand, the we can completely get behind the continuing trend for spring of "when in doubt, add spikes" -- especially when it comes to these studded ballet flats, which feel like just the right combination of tough and sweet.
