Last month, Sophie Theallet took home the coveted CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, which, in addition to a cash prize included a year of mentorship. The CFDA revealed yesterday that Oscar de la Renta will do the honors.
Runners-up Patrik Ervell and Monique Péan will also work with industry figures, having been matched with fashion consultant Robert Burke and Tiffany & Co. chairman and CEO Michael Kowalski, respectively.
The power pairing of de la Renta and Theallet should only catapult the young designer's career even further, and we expect strong results.
